ATHENS – Embarkation
I’ll meet you at the airport for a Reception to answer your many questions. We will have a small Greek Coffee at the outside Kafenion (may sound silly now – you’ll be glad we did). I suggest you plan a flight that arrives in the morning or the day before your sail begins. We can also help you arrange flight times to Athens! It will help your jetlag, give you time to acclimate, and allow you to settle into your lifetime adventure. Bring your Camera for the city and port – this will be followed by a very tasty local’s favorite “Paradosiakos” neighborhood restaurant depending upon your flight arrival.

Cycladic, Ionic and Saronic Islands
Get Ready for a BIG Week of Fun!
We will arrive at the Marina (or we can schedule transportation from your hotel) – and then we are off! Aegina, Paros, Poros, Milos, Hydra, Naxos, Tinos, Mikonos, Zakynthos or even Isles with No Names! Upon arrival at our private yacht, we will be welcomed by the Captain and Hostess, who will assist us with boarding and the rules of safety on our Luxurious ship. You will be shown to your private cabin. The Main Salon is generally our meet up area. Spacious open decks are also available for viewing as our vessel leaves the port.
Although we can sail anywhere you wish, the Captain will give us feedback and directions as to what the weather conditions are at each island area on your particular sail week. Thus, there will be mutual decisions about the course of our trip. All with safety in mind.
Our first stop may be Hydra Island. Nothing disturbs the peace and quiet that surrounds the old traditional stone houses. 500 hundred years of history will unfold before you as you stroll around the little stone paved streets by foot or on the back of a donkey! We will stop by one of the few cafes anywhere that serve fresh hot loukoumades and a Greek Coffee on the sea front dock. If you are a reader… I suggest you bring a copy of “Travels with Epicurus” and really get into the spirit of this adventure.
Next stop could be, Poros Island, a tiny beautiful island. On the way, we will be served an sumptuous buffet in the main lounge for a lively chat to share your last island discoveries with your fellow travelers! When visiting the enchanting town of Poros Island and walk by the citrus trees and windmills. The independent traveler who yearns to experience the reality of a real living and working island will be rewarded.
In between ports we will be spending idyllic time at private beaches and coves with no public access other than vessels like ours! Our Captain is from a long line of Sailors from right here in Greece. No one knows the water better!

Swim & SUP
Bring your Swim Suit!
Everyday is special when you are living the life of a luxurious vagabond. Every day will be historical for us in every sense of the word. We will walk the pathways and swim the waters of legends heretofore described by poets and writers going back thousands of years.
What’s more… The waters of the Aegean Sea are a special Cobalt Blue that reflects from Greek skies through crystal clear pure water! We will swim, paddle, fish, sail, and luxuriate in the ozone of these famous waters. Everyone seems to sleep better at night when they are on a private vessel. Something about prenatal comfort.
Our vessel is a Double Pontoon Catamaran. Up to 52′ long! It’s built and designed for the most stable ride (or float) imaginable. Our vessels are eco-friendly and the staff is constantly managing our travel with the environment in mind.
Dinner can be at local island Taverna’s or right onboard our exclusive catamaran – prepared by our personal chef!

Fresh Fish, Fruit & Vegetables
Bring your Appetite!
While we visit each island, and our Chef will be purveying the finest local fresh products of the day! The menu will be seasonally varied and locally tasty. State your preferences and be prepared to discover what the Miracle of Blue Zone Cooking is really all about – this is the Greek Diet.
We may nosh on souvlaki & gyros… but wait until you taste fresh handmade filo stuffed with local veges, cheeses, and meats! Unique flavors of dill, cumin, lemon, peppers, mint and secret ingredients to test your senses. Are you on a diet while eating the best foods you’ve ever tasted?
Or possibly drink your first world class Freddo. You’ll savor it on the vessel while at open sail or lolling in a sunny private bay in a heretofore uncharted island of Greece.
Care to take a hike up to the top of the an Acro-Agora? It seems every mountain top in Greece has had inhabitants for up to 5000 years ago! Take a look at a new perspective and excercise your body while doing this.
And if hiking and discovery are not your thing… hang out on board the vessel or at a local kafenion with the locals as they regale tales of yesteryear. Depending upon our ports of call, we may even go past my mother’s old village. If so, I’ll be happy to take you on a private tour that can’t be taken by any other agency to really meet some locals! Perhaps we’ll sip water from a 4000 year old artesian spring well! Your next photo may be headed for National Geographic. We will build an appetite for tonight’s outdoor dining and local Biological-Organic Wine.

Nafplion, Epidauras, Mycenea – Maybe an Underground Cavern
Like a Buffet – There are hundreds of Islands For Your Private Cruise!
One of Greece’s Ancient Capital cities has also been one of the world’s most famous trading ports… Nafplion, A Day tour can start in the port and go to Mycenae and Epidaurus (Unesco Site.), Alleged to be the home of Agamemnon. The museum features a death mask ‘stolen’ by Schliemann and purported to be that of Agamemnon. However, the mask in fact predates his death. In any case, it is considered by some to be the Mona Lisa of artifacts.
After a Mycenea Sojourn, and once we are finally down by the harbor waterfront you’ll discover that Nafplio is like a bigger version of the Plaka in Athens, only more beautiful and clean. The harbor square is one of the best preserved 19th Century platias in Greece. It is a very festive town square that often has vendors selling hot nuts, roast corn and cotton candy. Grab an ouzo and enjoy!
Wonders of Epidaurus.
Should your sail include this stop, the amphitheater is miraculous in that the skills and maths of the day put to use the Pythagorian Theory to create this living sound system in such a large scale. Take a friend… One of you in the last top row… and one of you on the stage… then speak in a normal voice and be blown away. You can whisper into your lover’s ear from over 500′ away!

Sailing to Places without Tour Crowds
With which Islands are you Ready to Discover Life!
Perhaps, on your trip we will choose to discover Knossos. Where you could spend a day hiking the world’s largest gorge. The Samarian Gorge. On the south of Crete is a small fishing village, Plakias. We will discover seafood and beaches that defy reasonable expectations of what ‘Amazing’ is all about. Every cruise we take is a different port and itinerary. Call for details of the next cruise!
If you can’t stand to be alone; then get off the boat and meet your “sole” mate on a hike. The air is crisp, the fresh blue sky is cool, and most of the trail has yet to see the sun. Before you could be a 10-mile downhill trek, dropping 5,000 feet through some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in Greece to a black-sand beach on the south coast. Descend to the floor of the gorge down an hour of steep switchbacks, where you’ll reach the stream, a great place for a picnic brunch. A leisurely meal will bolster your energy, lighten your load, and bring you peace.
Between you and the Libyan Sea on the southern shore are about eight miles of gently sloping downhill trails. Hiking along the cool creek, you’ll pass an occasional deserted farmhouse, lazy goats, and a small ghost town with a well.

Once in the Greek islands you will see the geological structures that have boggled scientists world wide. No explanation has yet been accepted for how some of these features were created.

Return to Athens Port
Ease back to the Life of Athens Greece!
This is your day to try out the Greek that you have learned. Drop off the boat in port and do your best to negotiate for that special Souvenir. Take a last nosh on your favorite gyro or souvlaki and a cafe’ Freddo.
Then it’s off to your flight back home and memories of Greece – Or perhaps you’ll join us for any extra week on the mainland for our backroads Greece adventure.

No Drugs are allowed to be carried by travelers unless prescribed by their physician and traveler should carry such prescriptions with their valuables.
Individual Personal Travel insurance for trip interruption, medical and accident issues is required. Each traveler should purchase insurance through their airline, insurance agent, credit card company or other source of their choice at their own expense. Repatriation for any reason is the responsibility of the traveler.
